Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio
As the birthplace of Frank Lloyd Wright's career, the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio is a National Historic Landmark. The Oak Park Conservatory is a botanical haven housing exotic plants from around the world. Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple is considered his first great public work. Completed in 1908, the church has a unique cubic design and decorative concrete exterior. Its open and versatile interior was designed to suit both intimate services and large congregations. Today Unity Temple is an active Unitarian Universalist congregation as well as a National Historic Landmark. Guided tours are offered from April through October to provide insight into Wright's vision for the space.

For a glimpse into life during Oak Park's formative years, visit Pleasant Home. This historic house museum was built in 1897 for the John Farson family, early Oak Park settlers. The Queen Anne-style mansion has been fully restored to depict upper-middle-class life at the turn of the 20th century. Visitors can explore the property, including the Carriage House Gallery, servants' quarters, and elaborate decorative gardens. Pleasant Home offers both guided tours and self-guided tours from May through October.
